My family loves keeping busy all the time. Even during the holidays when there are always things to do, they are looking for more things to do. That’s why this year we decided to try out the Big Rock Brewery tour in Calgary, Alberta. Something different than going to look at Chistmas lights with the added bonus of extra “cheer”.
The tour and tasting was about 2 hours long and cost $25 each.
The knowledgable guide brought us all into the underbelly of Big Rock Brewery. We walked through the history, science, and art of beer making. We went on the weekend so the brewery was not running when we toured. I am sure that it would have been a different sight to see everyone in action (especially the bottling department), but for our purposes it was very enjoyable none the less.
After the tour was done we reached the tasting room where we were generously treated to some of Big Rock’s best. After enjoying a few pints and purchasing some limited edition brew, our tour came to an end and we carried on to our next holiday adventure.
