Recently a couple of friends and I decided that we don’t see each other enough and wanted to change that by trying a Paint Nite. The concept of Paint Nite is going out with friends to try your best at painting a picture while enjoying a few beverages. Different bars across the city host the events which range from very easy to very difficult. For our first attempt we decided to try “very easy” hosted at the country bar Ranchman’s. 

Arriving at our first Paint Nite was a little overwhelming for fear of our non-artistic backgrounds, but the instructor was very clear and helpful. She had a loud speaker coaching us through and didn’t move on until people were ready. The nice thing was nobody had great artistic skills but everyone could participate. After a few drinks, some inadvertent paint mustaches, and settling for a less than Monet art piece, the evening concluded with a group photo. We had a ton of fun and have already scheduled our next Paint Nite event. Now the only question remains, will my husband let me hang this up?
