When I was young every mom had a punch bowl. Some of them crystal or silver, some of them cheap plastic, but it didn’t matter. You were not a good host unless you had a bowl of punch at your gathering.
My mom was no exception to this rule. From a very early age I was excited to dip into my mom’s punch knowing that she had a gem of a recipe that was made to please everyone. Now that I am at the age where I host several of my own gatherings, the time has come for me to make some punch. Of course it would not be the same unless it was mom’s recipe…
This particular recipe that my mom makes is large volume. Unless you decide to drink a litre of punch per person, it’s a good idea to use it for gatherings larger than 8 people… but of course it’s your choice!
Ingredients:
1 12oz. can – Frozen Orange Juice
1 12oz. can – Frozen Limeade (Lime Juice)
1 12oz. can – Frozen Lemonade (Pink)
6 cups – Pineapple Juice
3 2L. bottles – Gingerale
2 – Limes Sliced
2 – Oranges Sliced
Ice can be added to the punch or to the individual glass before serving.
Instructions:
Combine all the ingredients and enjoy!
Spiked punch option:
So my mom’s recipe says 1 bottle of vodka… no size indicated. You can interpret that any way you like. 😉
