I decided to take the Lays potato chip flavour challenge. I purchased three different flavours to try (and I know there are four, but I am one of those strange people that doesn’t enjoy bacon. Seeing the the fourth flavour was bacon poutine I decided against it.)

So the three flavours we ended up with were cinnamon bun, tzatziki, and jalapeño mac n cheese.

I think that two of the three flavours already come up winners when they chose to use a kettle chip. For me that is the best type of chip out there. There is something about the crispness that gets me hooked after one bite. The tzatziki and cinnamon bun flavours have the kettle chip and the jalapeño mac n cheese has a ripple. The ripple as a plain chip is great but with all kinds of flavours on top it falls short.

As far as flavour goes, the jalapeño mac n cheese was the only flavour that didn’t actually taste like the flavour advertised. There was no heat from the jalapeño and no cheese taste. This was my least favourite.
As for the other flavours, they are both good in different ways, but not at the same time. The tzatziki and cinnamon bun taste as advertised. The cinnamon bun tastes like a cinnamon bun you would buy at the mall. A unique dessert type chip. Something new and worth a try.
